I am sure you have seen Raven coin called in our first issue. If not here is alinkto read more about it. Raven was just featured in an article about the CEO investing Millions of dollars into the project and considering it similar to the early days of bitcoin.
If you have read it then I am sure you have been wanting to know how to get your hands on some $RVN. Since it is a fairly new coin I will be showing you how to mine it since it is currently not on exchanges.
First you will need to download the Raven-qt Wallet. You need this to create Ravencoin Addresses.
DOWNLOAD RAVEN-QT FOR A WALLET
Now that you have Raven-qt run that file and install the file. Your wallet should look similar to the images below.
Now that you have your Wallet address you will need to it later.
The Raven-qt wallet can mine for you when you leave it open. You maybe luck enough to hit a block but it is not very likely due to the amount of miners now on the next work. You will need to download a X16R miner from an outside source.
YOU CAN DOWNLOAD A ONE OF THE CCMINERS BELOW. THE GPU MINER IS CURRENTLY ONLY FOR NVDIA GPUS.
Now you need to extract that zip file and inside you will find a ccminer-x64, README, and some RUN-RVN-_(somenames)___.BAT .
We now need to research what pool we want to mine in. You can find information on what pool you want to use atRVN Stats. The biggest pools areyiimp.eu,rvnpool.org,andthreeeyed. If you go to any of their sites they will have a help section on how to mine in their pool.
We are going to mine in the Threeeyed pool.
We will be editing the RUN-RVN-THREEEYED.BAT file. Edit the file with your notepad.
Now save that file and close it. Now double click the file you just saved and a command window will open. The following window.
Congrats!! you are mining RVN. You can check your stats by entering your wallet address into the pools Wallet tab. It will show you your coins mined and more information about the performance.
